The Gene Technology Bill

FIND OUT WHAT THE GENE TECHNOLOGY BILL IS, IT’S STATED POTENTIAL BENEFITS AND ACTUAL RISKS BY CLICKING HERE.

WHY WE ARE FIGHTING AGAINST THE GENE TECHNOLOGY BILL

We believe the costs and risks of the Gene Technology Bill far outweigh any potential benefits. And a number of stated benefits relate to completely absurd goals, such as reducing carbon emissions. Please see our Climate Control Agenda page for more information on this.

If the Gene Technology Bill were to come into law, any negative environmental effects will not be reversible and then New Zealand as a nation will be responsible for any problems or dangers that may arise because of it.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED SO FAR

JUNE 11 – 14, FIELDAYS EVENT, MYSTERY CREEK, HAMILTON

Tracy Buick & Claire Bleakly attended the Fieldays event, the southern hemisphere’s largest annual agricultural event where the who’s who of primary industries and agriculture attend to show off their inventions and innovations.

This year Claire and Tracy set up an exhibit that promoted warnings and dangers about the currently proposed Gene Technology Bill that has been put in front of parliament.

The goal was to reach people in agriculture as well as the public who will be consuming many of those things that agriculture deliver for them.

Martinborough Fair Signs Fair Flyer Handouts: On the first week of February and March, 2025, volunteers gathered to spread the word about the GTB among fair attendees.
